Ties That Bind: Community & Relationships in Music

This concert explores the meaning of community and the ways music brings people together. It will feature the premiere of three new songs composed by Music Director Dwight Bigler that are set to poems by the late renowned poet, activist, and Virginia Tech Professor Emerita Nikki Giovanni.

The performance also celebrates the 20th anniversary of the Blacksburg Children’s Chorale, inviting BCC alumni as special guests along with with founding director Patrice Yearwood and current conductor Tim Woolwine.

There will be two performances, both at the Blacksburg Presbyterian Church:

Saturday, April 25, at 7pm
Sunday, April 26, at 4pm

seniors $15
general admission $20
kids under 5 years old - free

Our family-friendly sing-along is one of Blacksburg's most popular holiday events. As always, this sing-along raises funds for the Blacksburg Interfaith Food Pantry and features a raffle to benefit the Blacksburg Children's Chorale.
